Pam Abbott is the manager of Framework’s Hughendon Lodge, an accommodation complex in Nottingham for people with severe mental health difficulties – people who may well be homeless without our support. She is also the Chair of Nottingham Mental Health Awareness Health Awareness Weeks – an annual programme of events to increase understanding and challenge stigma. In this video she speaks with candour and passion about the challenges and rewards of her work, society’s attitudes to mental health, and the need for greater compassion and understanding of the people she helps.
